Brake Road Safety Week

Monday, 17 November 2014

Educators are being urged to start planning now for Road Safety Week 2014 (17th-23rd November), coordinated by the charity Brake and supported by headline sponsors RSA and Specsavers. The event, now in its 18th year, is a great opportunity for teachers to engage pupils of all ages in life-saving lessons of road safety.

The theme of Road Safety Week 2014 is ‘look out for each other’, raising awareness of the ways everyone can help protect one another on roads, especially the most vulnerable. Brake will particularly call on drivers to protect kids and adults on foot and bike by slowing down to 20 in communities. Educators can run their initiative on this theme or any other road safety topic.

Educators can register now for free electronic resources and guidance to help them get involved – put the date in your school diary to run great events in the autumn term!
